The idea is to leverage the popularity of social media for planting trees. Some of India's most popular celebrities like Sachin Tendulkar, P.V.Sindhu, Chiranjeevi, Saina Nehwal, VVS Laxman, many top politicians and bureaucrats have posted images of their participation, helping our movement to grow.
The Igniting Minds and Walk For Water initiative was launched simultaneously in Assam and Telengana last year as a tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The first saplings were planted by the Forest Man of India Padmashree Jadav Payeng, along with members of Green Guard Nature Organization. He challenged every citizen of India including the Honourable President to plant and nurture 3 trees as a tribute to the great visionary Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. We are now determined to reach 100 million saplings planted on the birth anniversary of India's popular President on 15th October.
YOU CAN JOIN TOO! Register on and share your plantation images. We also welcome support messages or video clips from all over the world! Send on messenger and/or share on social media! Do not forget the hashtags #GreenChallenge #HaraHaiTohBharaHai #GreenIndiaChallenge
