Combat On Cloud Nine

Distinguished Scientist, Satheesh Reddy who is a Scientific Adviser to Raksha Mantri, occupies a pivotal role in the ministry of defence. An Aerospace Scientist by profession led the RCI laboratory as a Program Director and initiated the development of Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (MRSAM).Satheesh Reddy while congratulating the members of his team on successful launching of the missile he reportedly said, “It is a quantum jump in air defence capability”. The missile that was launched successfully got through the test by attacking a combat aircraft with pinpoint accuracy meeting all the expected parameters of the missile.

Satheesh Reddy is the first Indian who is a close associate in the Royal Institute of Navigation in London, Royal Aeronautical Society. He is a foreign member of the Academy of Navigation and Motion Control, Russia. He is also an honorary fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering and Computer Society of India.

Young and dynamic scientific scholar, Satheesh Reddy as a Navigation expert made significant contributions to Indian Defence and won the Young Scientist Award and also won the Agni Award for his excellence in Self-reliance as the team leader.

Dr. G Satheesh Reddy, Young and dynamic Scientific Scholar, an Aerospace Scientist is the recipient of prestigious Indian Science Congress Association Homi J. Bhabha Memorial Award, he received Silver Medal of Royal Aeronautical Society UK. He is also a recipient of National Systems Gold Medal, Dr. Biren Roy Space Science Design Award, Rocket Related Technologies Award, Agni Award, Vikram Award, FAPCCI Outstanding Engineer Award. He has been conferred with Honorary Degrees of Doctor of Science from many leading universities of the country.
